Personal History: Leighton Katerina Cross was born on March 2nd in Edinburgh, Scotland to Avalon and Kenneth Cross. Leighton had a rocky start; she did breath when she was first born and two weeks later, she got whooping cough. But, after that, it was what her mother called smooth sailing. Leighton was a very simple child. She didn't demand much, nor did she act out. Sure, she was stubborn and had a way of doing things, but for the most part Leighton was easy to handle. Especially compared to her sister.

Leighton and Elisabetta were opposites. While Leighton was mature, confident, stubborn, and protective Elisabetta was selfish, a workaholic, had low self-esteem, and let people walk all over her. Elisabetta and Leighton got along just fine, but Leigh always felt like her sister was a weak person. She would never voice that and that didn't mean that Leighton didn't love her, but she always felt like Elisabetta would have a hard time living on her own.

When Leighton was accepted into Hogwarts, it was shocking when she was sorted into Ravenclaw. Leighton wasn't extremely smart, but she knew how to handle herself. Her parents thought that Leighton would've been a Gryffindor for sure. But, according to the Sorting Hat, Leighton was born to be in Ravenclaw. And, she didn't disappoint. Leighton excelled at school, managing to be at the top of her class and eventually Head Girl. It was no surprise that when she graduated that she was offered the position of Headmistress.
